Soundflower, a free app that lets you direct your audio output back into your input-in other words, to record the sound coming out of your computer into your computer, instead of playing it through the speakers.
This is all from a Mac perspective, because that’s what I do, but the steps are certainly adaptable for PC. Instead, take some time to figure out how to get your computer to merge two separate audio inputs-your microphone, and your computer audio-into a single output, which would go into your video stream. Or maybe you were hoping that the computer would just let you switch back and forth easily-ha, if only! Maybe you are planning to play a recording over external speakers, which the microphone will then pick up and put back into your video-but this will distort the audio significantly. Speakers : To test your speakers, click Test.
Microphone : To test your microphone, speak out loud and ask if the other person can hear you.
Camera : If your camera is working, you’ll see your video on the top right.
Make sure the correct device is selected for each setting (change it using the Down arrow ):.
At the top of your video call window, click Settings.
At the bottom of the video call window, make sure you’ve turned on the microphone or camera.
Make sure other programs on your computer aren’t using your microphone, camera, or speakers.
If you connect any of your hardware using USB, check if you need to install software from the device manufacturer.
Make sure your microphone, camera, and speakers are plugged in to your computer and turned on (microphone isn’t muted).
If the person you’re calling can’t hear or see you, try these steps.
